A new initiative designed to boost the local economy and encourage local shopping has seen the Goulburn Mulwaree Council, the Goulburn Chamber of Commerce and Regional Development Australia Southern Inland combine their talents to create an innovative new Goulburn gift card.

The Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories Nola Marino announced the appointment of Rowena Abbey of Yass as the new Chair of Regional Development Australia Southern Inland (RDASI).

We have been honoured to be a part of the extremely successful SISP program and that we were selected as a pilot region. The program has significant momentum and has expanded to over 30 schools in 2020. Prior to 14 December, an employer was required to allow an employee to work from home if it was practicable for them to do so. This saw working from home as the default position for many employees in NSW, especially office-based workers.

On the 12th November, the Southern Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SHCCI) and Regional Development Australia Southern Inland (RDASI) are launching the very first Highlands Connect in Mittagong.

The Australian Business Growth Fund has been formally established, enabling SMEs potential access to long-term equity capital investment of between $5 million and $15 million.

The funding will be available to established SMEs with annual revenue between $2 million and $100 million, which was recommended in the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman’s Affordable Capital for SME Growth report.
