Digital Connectivity Forum

On Tuesday 20 June 2023, we proudly hosted a Digital Connectivity Forum in Yass with representatives from our local councils, Regional Tech Hub, Telstra and NbnCo  

The event focussed on:

• discussing planning barriers to future – proof developments

• building relationships across our Southern Inland Councils

• collaborating on ideas to improve connectivity,

• sharing learnings on best practice already in place,

• driving collective and consistent communications outcomes and

• delivering critical infrastructure improvements to achieve optimal connectivity throughout our region.

With 37 registrations, the day was well attended and included the welcome addition of Teresa Lever, Manager Economic Development and Place Activation - Eurobodalla Shire Council, who provided valuable insights into Eurobodalla’s progress in the Digital Connectivity space. Attendees were encouraged to share their opinions and ideas throughout the day, including the challenges, obstacles, and pain points they have experienced. A panel-based question and answer session wrapped up what we consider a very successful event.

Feedback from participants collected on the day and via a follow up survey will assist in the development a Digital Connectivity Action Plan and resource toolkit.
