Once again Regional Development Australia Southern Inland (RDASI) will be holding a “Welcome to the Southern Inland” event thanks to funding through the Department of Home Affair’s, Fostering Integration Program. This event will be run in partnership with the Southern Region Business Enterprise Centre to welcome new migrants, whether they be on the recently extinguished 489 Regional Skilled Working Visas or Regional Employer Sponsored Visas.
RDASI is hoping to provide the opportunity for new migrants to learn more about the Southern Inland Region and what it has to offer, as well as create an environment where attendees can network and meet new people.
RDA Southern Inland certified RSMS Employer Sponsored Visa applications (187) which has now turned into the Subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa (SESR). RDASI previously sponsored State Sponsored Migration (489) Visa applicants, which has since turned into a Skilled work Regional (Provisional) (Subclass) 491 Visa and being managed by the NSW Treasury.
The migration program allows skilled migrants to fill employment vacancies where there are no local Australian applicants available. RDA Southern Inland is focused on not only attracting migrants but facilitating their retention over the long-term. RDA Southern Inland strongly believes that the ‘Welcome to the Southern Inland’ program is needed to give migrants the opportunity to learn more about the region, meet new people and ask any questions they have to RDASI.
“I witness how daunting settling into a new country, let alone a regional area, can be for new migrants when they come into our RDASI office to seek guidance. By hosting an event like this we can help more than just the odd person who comes in to see us. Many challenges can be easily worked through once a conversation is had," RDASI’s Skilled Migration Officer Jayde Butz stated.
This event will take place at The Collective Goulburn on the 25th of February, 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Finger food will be provided, and all ages are welcome. If you are interested in attending this event, please register via this link: https://welcomevent.eventbrite.com.au
