Stronger Communities Grants Program now open

Posted 6 July 2017 in News

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor is encouraging all community groups in the local electorate to apply now for funding under the Stronger Communities program. With grants of between $2500 and $20,000 available, community groups, not-for-profits and local government agencies or bodies are encouraged to apply.

To apply, groups are asked to submit an expression of interest to Angus Taylor's office via mail or email, outlining their proposed project, costs and benefits. They must demonstrate how the project improves local community participation and contributes to vibrant and viable communities.

The last 2 rounds of this funding program saw funding given to children's playgrounds, sporting facility upgrades, a disabled ramp, a new men’s shed and a community pantry.

Expressions of interest for projects must be limited to 300 words and sent via email to angus.taylor.mp@aph.gov.au or by mail to Angus Taylor MP PO Box 700 Goukburn NSW 2580. Applications will close on Friday 28th July 2017.

Following the assessment of all expressions of interest, successul groups will be invited to submit a full application, which will be assessed by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.
