After the success of the ‘Build your own website’ workshops in Yass in August 2017, Regional Development Australia Southern Inland (RDASI) are hosting another series of website workshops for businesses in the Southern Highlands. The free workshops will be delivered on the 20th and 21st February 2018 from 5.30-8.30pm at The Mill in Bowral.
Before attending the workshops, businesses will need to register a domain name (your preferred website address) and set up web hosting. The presenter for this course, Matt Wilmott, will be able to assist businesses in doing this.
The first workshop will explore the basics of today’s digital realities and the importance of engaging customers online. Once businesses have this important background understanding, the second workshop will show businesses how to set up and manage their very own website.
RDASI Project Officer, Camilla Staff, explains that websites do not have to be scary or complicated. She says, “From previous workshops, I think most businesses are often quite surprised in how simple it is to manage a website, once you have learnt the basics.”
“It’s so important for businesses to have an online presence these days. Gone are the days that a customer looks up a business in the Yellow Pages, it’s all about the internet,” Camilla says.
If you are interested in attending the workshop, please book your place at http://www.rdasi.org.au/websiteworkshops/ or call 02 4822 6397.
